Log One: The Future Is In The Palm Of Our Hands!

Oh! It's the first official devlog!

Don't be fooled - I may say 'log one', but this game has been in development for ages. This is just the first week of a proper devlog!

Make sense?

So far, I've been very blessed to have not one, not two, but five people join the team! I'm now surrounded by cool spriters and artists, and we've got a good bit of musical talent between us! Hopefully, this should make actually making the game look and sound good pretty simple!

In terms of updates:

  • There are new drop messages for items
  • The Fun Value has been implemented!
  • Murdering and its consequences are partially added!
  • First area tilesets have been created!
  • The dialogue for the first area is almost complete!
  • The intro cutscene is complete!

In terms of things I'm still doing:

  • I'm still tackling the battle system (it's like hugging a brick wall)
  • I'm managing room-to-room saving
  • Cutscenes are in early testing days!

I didn't anticipate the battle system being so difficult … but I'll persevere!

As a special little gift from me, take some screenshots of the intro sequence! I'm so flattered by all the interest, even if it's only 14 people! That's far more than I was anticipating, especially since you have so little to go off of... so thank you so much!
