Log Three: A Break From The Battle!

Hello again!
Well, one "moving house" montage later (and a surprise Deltarune newsletter!! Very exciting!!), and I'm finally settled down in a place I can get to work a little more efficiently! I'm so happy you all seem to be as excited to see this as I am to work on it !!
What's The New Stuff?
- NPC values are now being checked and stored! NPCs remember questions they've asked you, little things are stored in flags (for more memory things down the line) and choices suddenly have their value ...
- Dialogue writing is going well! Would it surprise you to learn I have some ending dialogue already written?
- Resetting is in the process of being stored in a different data file to keep track of all the important stuff! More "game memory", as it were!
What's The Stuff Coming Up?
- Maps for the first area of the game are up there on the list of things to do! It's a real trick to make them fun to play through AND make sense!
- Concept art for some of the later areas of the game and some of the big boss battles!
- Puzzles! It wouldn't be an Undertale game (let alone one about perseverance) without puzzles! Don't worry, they won't be too annoying.
Overall?
I decided that focusing too hard on the battle system all at once would just cause burnout, so I'm working a little more dynamically now! Here's hoping progress goes smoothly!
